This Privacy Policy explains how Ailan (operated by its founders pending incorporation) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Ailan app and ailan.app.
1. Information We Collect
- You provide: email, name, password (stored hashed), and any data you enter (e.g., workout logs, body weight if you choose).
- Collected automatically: device type, OS/app version, crash logs, and in-app events via Firebase.
- From the Creator's payment provider: because the Creator is the merchant of record, their payment provider (e.g., Stripe) processes payment. Ailan receives limited confirmation data (e.g., your email and subscription status) to grant access. Ailan does not receive or store full card details.
2. How We Use It
To provide and maintain the Service, manage access to clubs, improve the product, ensure security, and comply with law.
3. How We Share It
- With the Creator whose club you join (e.g., your email and progress within that club).
- With service providers (e.g., Firebase/Google) that operate the infrastructure.
- With law enforcement where required or to prevent harm (see Terms §10).
- We do not sell your personal data.
4. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. We honor applicable opt-outs and do not sell personal information.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain data while your account is active. On deletion request, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Children
The Service is for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical measures (e.g., hashing, access controls). No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
